Scumble, The Pizza Oven Cat

I couldn't wait any longer to submit this picture. This was my first illustration project and my first techniques project. This was all done in COLORED PENCILS! The technique was tinnie tiny little half circle motions, light at first then getting darker. The technique is called scumbling. There are so many layers of colored pencil on this that it's not even funny.
The only problem presented with colored pencils is that it will not reproduce in print well at all, since the medium is so light. So this was taken into photoshop and darked, and the colors were boosted up a bit.
This took me over a month to do, and the original isn't really finished to me. It was finished enough for the deadline though.
This will probably be updated when I work on it more.
My illustration teacher told me she is going to hang the print of this up in the open house at school, so that makes me happy.
